Utkal Diwas” was observed on the occasion of the foundation day of Odisha State” today in Muktadhara Auditorium. Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the event. On the occasion, the Governor unveiled a commemorative plaque named “Chakadola”. Inaugurating the program, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that he is happy to participate in the Utkal festival.  The Governor said, “Odisha’s heritage, culture and arts are well known in the country and abroad.” He also highlighted Odisha’s educational infrastructure, Odissi dance arts, Jagannath Temple in Puri, Surya Temple in Konark, Chilka lake, Shimlipal National Park.

Chief Patron of Odisha Samaj Tripura SK Pratihari spoke at the Utkal Day event. He donated 20,000 rupees to buy books for the organization’s library. Prof. RK Mohapatra, secretary of Oriya Samaj Tripura, the organizer of the event, presented the report of the organization. On the occasion of the celebration of Utkal Day, interesting cultural programs were performed.
